Once in Kanjurmarg you seldome wait for more than a few minutes and you pay only a few rupies and a train will be there. These trains are pretty reliable. They come and they take you where you want to go. But there is also one other thing you can rely on: They are nearly always crowded. So, unless you want to switch to the Indian water-bucket-hand system, you should carry around a role of paper. The prices for toilet paper are ridiculous. You pay something like 0.8€ per role (and they are not bigger than somewhere else). If you are afraid, get bottled water. Otherwise we have a water machine which is supposed to filter, UV disinfect and cool the water on the B4 floor of H13. Similar ones are on nearly every floor. Whether the filter and UV works or not is difficult to know. We might drink just cooled tab water. But so far there are no damages to anybody. And when you fall sick, it is hard to tell, whether it was the water, the mess, food outside or something else. Trains take ~12 hours, a flight 1.5 hours or so. Goa is divided into two part: North Goa and South Goa. North Goa is known for the Parties around Christmas and New Year. South Goa is a little more peaceful but there are some big hotels and rather the upper class tourists then the Hippies. The very southern Tip at Palolem is different.
